This is Sharon, writes Michelle, one of the wonderful people we meet.  At  the  age of 16 she joined the Army and was shot during the Gulf War, resulting in her losing a kidney and being medically discharged. 

She took up riding, owning a horse called Bumblebee, when through a freak accident she fell off and broke her back, leaving her in hospital for 2 years.

Now, years later she has decided to ride again, and this is where we, or should I say Dakota comes in.  They have had three lovely rides, each an hour long and formed a great friendship.  Dakota knows he has to look after Sharon and seems to enjoy the responsibility.
