Exmoor Ponies

A  herd of mildly curious Exmoor ponies out on the moor yesterday.  The wonderful autumn weather must make life easier for them.

Exmoor ponies are usually bay and have ‘mealy’ markings on the muzzle and around the eyes.

The Exmoor pony is the oldest and most primitive of the British native ponies , as well as the purest, and some herds still roam semi-feral on Exmoor.
